About "AGONIZING", winter collection 2010-2011

THE MADNESS SERVING DESIGN…

Talented like very few, controversial like some and perverted like many,
Artist Egone Schiele has been a unique artist, impressive, and an extremely controversial character. His
expressionism manifests thought, feeling, and desire. A creation of sorts born from within, that was at one time hidden, and then transmitted to the outside world. The characters of his artistry were born through the result of internal and uncontrollable unknown forces and struggles, and were channeled through the fascinating art of his painting.

The collection AGONIZING is nourished by the spirit of Schiele's paintings, which transmit his personality without displaying vulgarity. The most intimate pieces become ornaments, pictures,
applications and textures. Suggestive subtleties refrain from the extreme or obvious which allows deliberately wearable clothing suitable for any occasion. If the clothing tells a story and begets a history, then the garments I have produced are transformed into more than just clothing, but into a statement to others signifying muted extravagance and daring. The basis of this creative process and experimentation were Schiele’s silhouettes from the 1920s, and the collection’s concept itself represents my fundamental principles of Slow Fashion: quality, origin of country and design, and handmade pieces equate to superior quality and high fashion. The customized shoes by McYelow and vintage pieces lend a unique touch to each image. Do not presume the usage of brands such as Louise Vuitton or Miss Sixty accessories.
Here all garments have been handcrafted with a specific mission by VASYA.
